On Sunday, August 4th, we had our monthly trunk show at the Apple Blossoms Wedding Center in Tampa. This conveniently located one stop shop is a great resource for any bride planning her wedding and the perfect place to hold our monthly events. What is a trunk show you might ask? Simply put - it's a private shopping party! Complete with champagne, chocolates and specially prepared hors d'oeuvres. It's a chance to browse the designer's entire collection - sometimes even before it's available in the boutiques - and work one-on-one with a fashion expert. Trunk shows are a great time to bring your friends and family to share your excitement of finding "the dress".
On July 14th, we showed our collection at Perfect Wedding Guide's Florida Signature Bridal Affair. It was a pleasure meeting all the lovely brides and vendors. We enjoyed the table/decor competition that our friends at Apple Blossoms won. Congradulations guys! We loved talking to brides about what was important to them. This month, we received quite a few requests for custom made gowns and hair pieces, time to start sketching!
This month, we designed a custom made dress for a lovely bride named Victoria. She came in with her mother and grandmother as they shared Victoria's love story. It was a touching, unique story. There is something magical about having the bride's family present when she gets her dress. Our designer sketched out the dress for her as she took photos and shared it with her maid of honor and best friend. It was a glamurous dress that fit her personality perfectly. Can't wait to see the finished product!
We hosted our May trunk show at the Don Me Now styling & clothing lounge in Hyde Park Village. Gisselle Sanchez designed a beautiful centerpiece, and Hands on Sweets made flower cupcakes just for our event. We served fine champagne, and displayed some of the must haves for the bride's big day, including shapeware, Albesia's Jewelry, William Sonoma, and Aveda Salon & Spa. It all came together beautifully. Danielle styled brides, while giving them insider tips on how to look their best on their big day. Our designer sketched a custom gown for a bride that had a unique vision for her wedding. And the brides received goodie bags as they left. We would like to thank Don Me Now styling and clothing lounge, Giselle Sanchez Floral Design, and Hands on Sweets.
On April 20th, 2013, we had our trunk show at the beautiful Don Me Now Styling & Clothing lounge in Hyde Park Village. Renowned stylist, Danielle McFarland styled our brides as they picked out the accessories. We served hand made Victoria Richards chocolates and fine champagne. Our designer sketched out a custom design for a bride who wanted a custom made dress. We displayed an array of bridal must haves, such as accessories by Pretty and Sparkly Things, William Sonoma, Aveda Level Salon & Spa, Albesia's jewelry and more.
We hosted our March trunk show at the charming 1920's Yellow House Event Venue. Our collection was displayed next to the fireplace and romantic vintage chairs. A vintage sofa served as a display for our goodie bags, containing cupons, samples, and chocolates. In the kitchen, we served custom, hand made Victoria's Chocolates and fine champagne.
On February 17th, we participated in our first bridal show "He Asked and She Said Yes", at the Yellow House Event Venue, a charming 1920's house converted to a venue space. We loved talking to brides about what's most important to the, as our model walked around the beautiful courtyard full of the area's leading wedding vendors. We would like to thank Terry Foster, our intern Veronca Khvorostov, model Constance Cowez and all of the brides and vendors.
On Saturday, February 9th, 2013, we launched our first bridal collection. The show was a huge success and a dream come true for our designer, Alma Vidovic, who dreamed of this moment since she was a little girl. The attendees included the local elite, buyers, bloggers, stylists, fashionistas and the like. The event was covered by some of the nation's leading media sources. It was a magical night to remember. We would like to thank all of our models, hair and make up artists, photographers, show organizers, our stylist Veronica Khvorostov, and all of the media that covered the event. Until next year!
